URL personalization · Included on Starter and Growth
Make your landing page match the link you share.
An email about yoga should open a page about yoga. Change selected headlines, calls to action, and images using values in your campaign links. Keep one page on your own website, with a message that fits each campaign.

A campaign link, a relevant welcome
For example, select your class page’s headline and set the template to Find your next {{type}} class. Set the fallback to “Find your next class”.
Default link
/classesFind your next class
Your fallback headline and original image.
Yoga campaign link
/classes?type=yogaFind your next yoga class
Map “yoga” to your own yoga image to change that too.
Illustrative example. You choose the page elements, text templates, and image mappings.
From your existing page to a personalized link
- Choose your page. Open Personalization in your dashboard, select a registered website, and enter the page URL. The PageDuel snippet must be installed on that page.
- Select text and images. Pick the elements in the visual editor. Give each its own URL parameter, text template and fallback, or image choices.
- Preview both versions. Check sample values and missing values, including the mobile preview. Save a draft while your published page keeps working.
- Publish and share. Copy the sample link into your campaign and check it on your website. You can pause personalization or restore an earlier publication.
Where it fits
- Email campaigns: carry the offer from your email into the landing page headline and CTA text.
- Ads and partner links: show the relevant product or class image from choices you have configured.
- Several messages on one page: give your headline and CTA separate parameters without maintaining copies of the page.
Before you share your first link
No second snippet. Personalization loads through your existing PageDuel installation. If you use a first-party proxy, follow the first-party setup guide for the optional bundle route.
Defaults keep ordinary links useful. Missing or empty text values use your fallback. Unknown image values keep the original image. Parameters apply to the current page and are not carried across pages automatically.
Use public campaign values. URL values can appear in browser history and other systems. Avoid sensitive information. Images come from HTTPS URLs you configure; this feature does not generate images for each visitor.
Text and images, with clear limits. Personalization changes visible text and image elements. It does not change form values, link destinations, arbitrary HTML, or CSS background images. Verify the published result on your actual website.
Personalization and experiments have different jobs. Personalization chooses content from the link. A/B testing randomly compares variants. Personalization includes runtime diagnostics, but does not by itself prove conversion lift.
